Privacy Policy
Effective June 7, 2026
1.Who we are
PrintDoc (“PrintDoc,” “we,” “us”) is an AI-powered 3D print failure diagnosis and print-logging service operated by Aetherius Group. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers the PrintDoc web and installable (PWA) application at printdoc.io.
2.Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address and password credentials (stored hashed by our authentication provider), and an optional profile such as your printer models and preferred filament materials.
- Print session content. The photos you upload of your prints and the structured parameters you enter — printer model, filament brand/material/color, nozzle and bed temperatures, print speed, layer height, notes, and outcome.
- Diagnosis data. The AI-generated diagnoses produced from your print sessions, including root cause, confidence, and recommended fixes.
- Billing information. If you subscribe to Pro, your subscription status and billing details are handled by our payments processor. We do not collect or store your full card number on our servers.
- Usage and device data. Product analytics events, approximate device/browser information, and error diagnostics used to keep the service working and improve it.
3.How we use your information
- To provide and operate PrintDoc, including authentication.
- To generate AI diagnoses from your uploaded photos and print parameters.
- To process subscription payments and manage your plan and quota.
- To send transactional email (such as sign-in confirmations and billing notices).
- To monitor, debug, secure, and improve the service through aggregate analytics and error reporting.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your print photos to advertise to you.
4.AI processing of your photos and parameters
To produce a diagnosis, PrintDoc transmits the photos and the structured print parameters from a session to Anthropic, our AI provider, which processes them to generate the response shown to you. We send only what is needed to produce the diagnosis; the data is processed under Anthropic’s terms and privacy policy. Diagnoses are informational guidance and are not guaranteed to be correct — see our Terms of Service.
5.Service providers we share data with
We rely on the following processors to run PrintDoc. Each receives only the data needed for its function and is bound by its own agreements and privacy commitments.
- Supabase — authentication, database, and photo storage. Receives your account credentials, profile, print logs, and uploaded photos. Privacy policy.
- Anthropic — AI diagnosis. Receives your uploaded print photos and structured print parameters to generate the diagnosis. Privacy policy.
- Stripe — payment processing. Receives your name, email, and payment details to bill your subscription. Privacy policy.
- Resend — transactional email. Receives your email address to deliver account and billing messages. Privacy policy.
- PostHog — product analytics. Receives pseudonymous usage events and device/browser information. Privacy policy.
- Sentry — error monitoring. Receives error reports and technical context to help us diagnose and fix problems. Privacy policy.
- Vercel — application hosting and content delivery. Receives request metadata such as your IP address. Privacy policy.
6.Cookies and analytics
PrintDoc uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the service. We also use PostHog for product analytics, which sets identifiers and collects usage events to help us understand how the app is used and improve it. If you are in the EU/UK or another region requiring consent for non-essential analytics, we rely on your consent where applicable, and you may limit analytics through your browser settings or by contacting us.
7.Data retention
We retain your account, print sessions, photos, and diagnoses for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (see below), we delete your account record and associated data, and your stored photos are removed from our storage. Backups and provider logs may persist for a limited period before being overwritten, and we may retain limited records where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
8.Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Under the GDPR/UK GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA, these include the right to deletion and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
You can exercise the core of these rights directly in the app: update your profile in Account settings, and use Delete my account on the Account page to remove your account and data. For other requests, contact us at the address below.
9.Deleting your account and data
You can permanently delete your account at any time from the Account page using Delete my account. This removes your account and cascades the deletion of your print sessions and diagnoses, and deletes your uploaded photos from storage. This action cannot be undone.
10.International data transfers
PrintDoc and its providers are based in or process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers of personal data are made under appropriate safeguards such as the applicable standard contractual clauses.
11.Security
We use industry-standard measures, including row-level access controls and private photo storage, to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12.Children
PrintDoc is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
13.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
14.Contact us
Questions or requests regarding this policy or your data can be sent to hello@printdoc.io.
